I’m a freshman studying at a LAC ranking 10+ and I’m thinking about transferring to NYU. (Sorry I don’t want to specify the name of my school because it has a small number of students. I’d rather not to be recognized.) My intended major at my current school is computer science and music. If I could get into NYU, I’d probably major in music.
Since it’s my first semester in college, I don’t have my GPA yet, but my estimation is about 3.6. Some of the courses I’m taking is above my level, so my GPA won’t be high.
I took the old SAT in 2015, CR740 M800 W720(12 on essay)
I have an IB diploma with a grade of 39.
ECs is always my weakness. I’m currently in consulting club and a computers science club. I’ve been practicing an instrument since high school, and hopefully I’ll get into the chamber music group of my school next semester. I’ve been a member of MUN and art club and a writer of school’s newspaper in high school. I also volunteered in a special education school back in high school.
I’ll try my best to write a good essay, but I don’t expect I’m able to write an excellent one.
I’m not sure what my references would be like, since my attendance to the classes is not really satisfying, but my tests and homework are not bad.
