<p>Pretty much slacked throughout high school, but I do have an upward trend (4.0 junior year and 4.0 right now senior yr). I'm a GA resident and I'm looking to do engineering (either mechanical or civil, maybe electrical).
I'm looking for mainly oos schools which offer good FA even though my stats aren't that great.</p>
<p>APs (got As and Bs w/ 1 or 2 Cs): AP Human Geo: 5, APEuro: 3, APCS: 5, APUS: 4
Current unweighted GPA: 3.0
Guidance counsler said my weighted will be 3.9
SAT (CR+M) is 1270
math: 670
reading: 610
writing: 630
class rank is 50%
ECs: nothing strong, just a lot of clubs including historian for engineering club. Around 100 volunteer hours.</p>

VTech - too much of a reach or doable?
UMD - same as Vtech
Iowa State (oos) - good safety?</p>
<p>what other schools would you guys recommend for someone in my range? Trying to avoid west coast / deep south(tired of the weather)</p>
