<p>OK so I applied to the following schools (I am a NYS student) and the results have been:</p>

<p>ACCEPTED: SUNY Stony Brook, SUNY Cortland, SUNY Oswego, SUNY Buffalo (University at Buffalo), SUNY Oneonta, SUNY Albany, SUNY New Paltz, Pace University, Florida State University </p>

<p>WAITLIST/SPRING ACCEPTANCE: SUNY Geneseo</p>

<p>REJECTED: University of Florida</p>

<p>STATS:</p>

<p>GPA: 3.53/4.5 (unsure of UW)- Top 30% (27%) of my class which is known as a great school
ACT: 25 (This is weak I know)
10 AP classes mainly all other honors classes</p>

<p>AMAZING Extracurriculars, very in depth, became an EMT (served as Captain of Ambulance Youth Corps), Winner of county speech contests and winner of American Legion Oratorical Contest where I only lost at a high level over 700 riding hours on an ambulance, had lead roles in school Fall plays jr and sr yrs (with a smaller role in soph yr) volunteered at church (120 hours), DECA, Science Olympiad... and even more where I held/hold various leadership positions. I was also involved on my debate and speech team in school winning numerous awards.</p>

<p>RECS: I have 2 EXCELLENT ones, one from a Binghamton alum and one from my AP Eng Teacher/Speech and Debate coach. </p>

<p>Member of 3 subject honor societies, with History HS being NATIONALLY recognized and Science being state recognized... also a board member of English Honor Society</p>

<p>EXCELLENT ESSAY discussed how I have overcome great personal struggles in life but mainly focused on how I have overcome those struggles to better others and discussed how I helped someone on an ambulance with CPR seen as very good and very original</p>

<p>Now here are my remaining colleges:</p>

<p>SUNY Binghamton (MY TOP CHOICE I AM DYING TO GO HERE)
University of Delaware
UMass Amherst</p>

<p>Firstly congrats on all those awesome acceptances…:slight_smile:
I think that you have a pretty good chance at Binghamton- your extracurriculars are very impressive, your SAT scores are great! and I’m sure your recs are well-written. Also, taking 10 AP classes is NO JOKE! Binghamton will see your hard work and commitment. </p>

<p>I mean Binghamton is one of the best SUNY’S, they are a bit less selective than Geneseo. But I don’t understand why Geneseo would put you in their waiting list? ( I was recently accepted there and my SAT scores are no where near yours)- I guess because I applied through EOP.</p>

<p>Well, just be positive- If your personal statement was really good- then taking in consideration all your credentials you should be fine! Let us know if you get in!</p>

<p>Btw- I have applied to Bingh as well- through EOP though :)</p>

<p>Hahaha, congrats on the acceptance at Geneseo!
You have a really good chance into getting into Bing and, as for the other SUNY schools, you’ll most likely get into all of them, especially if you’ve already got accepted to Geneseo.</p>
