Please chance me!

Hi everyone! I am a student at Norfolk County Agricultural High School and I would like to go to Amherst for Anthropology. My stats are:

ACT: 30
SAT: 1990

Class Rank: 1/109
GPA: 3.997

Essay: good
Letters: good

I do not have any AP classes but I have taken two college classes, one was a math class outside of school and the other I am currently taking which is a foreign language that is offered in my school. Because the foreign language is offered through a college (we do not have regular classes of language) it is worth 2 years of high school language classes. However, I am a dual Swiss citizen and speak Swiss-German as well. I am taking the highest courses available at my school. I plan on taking a science college course this spring because I was unable to take one due to scheduling. I have taken classes in marine, canine, large animal, equine, small animal and vet science.

Activities:
NHS Secretary
FFA Officer for two years
Competed at the National level for public speaking three years in row
Involved with numerous community service and leadership activities and events
Former 4-H Member
Competed at Nationals for public speaking
Peer Mentor/Team Harmony
Student Worker
Various jobs at Horse barns
Volunteer at cat shelter once a week
On and off volunteer at Buddhist community center
Varsity B-Ball manager

I also horseback ride. I have spent time in Switzerland and Florida working and riding. I do dressage and hunters and I have done presentations at large expos and competed.

What do you guys think? Thanks so much!

Your SAT Score is a bit low for Amherst’s usual class. Try improving it to about 2200+ and you’ll stand a fair chance.

Agree…What about Sienna-can bring your horse…
