Work on your SAT score. You are below the 25% for SAT compared to last year’s admitted students. You rigor is also on the low side but signing up for AP’s for senior year should help. I would not recommend taking both AP Chem and AP Biology at the same time, especially since you have never taken an AP course. Those are known as two of the hardest ones. Do you have naviance at your high school? Can you compare yourself to other admitted students from your school? My feeling is that you are borderline for admission.

Thank you for your reply… I do have access to naviance at my school. When I compared my data with others I was somewhere on the border line…

I’m also scheduled to take dual enrollment courses at a community college near by… Does that help?

SAT/ACT and GPA/rank seem to be a big part of admissions.

What are you doing on a daily basis to practice for the SAT or ACT and take it again to get your score up? Increasing your score should be priority #1.

I’m currently getting coached for it. Thank you for replying

Make sure to apply early next year (app usually comes out in July) for your best chances. And definitely keep working on that SAT score. Maybe try out the ACT if you haven’t already?
