Not applying to finacial aid or scholarship

Please rate me !

plus i am first generation for college
does it help?

I see that you were here for high school, but are a citizen of China. Does this mean you are applying as an international student? (I would assume, but I really am not sure about that). If so, the fact that you are not applying for financial aid (as this is NOT need-blind for international students) helps out, but international admissions are VERY competitive. You need to get the SATs up, so hopefully your last attempt falls somewhere around where you have predicted. That would certainly make things reasonable. Otherwise, and I apologize for this, but I don't think your chances are exceptionally good. But, then again, international admissions is a mystery to most of us (which may explain the very few responses you have gotten).

Yes I am applying as an international student.
Do you think my experience of living and studying here would help?
I will work hard on the SAT!!
I am applying to Trinity and do they superscore?

I'm sure that having moved to the US and adjusting to life in high school will help you out, and yes, Duke does superscore the SAT (virtually everywhere does nowadays).

A ha thanks. I hope that. Do you know how to write a great essay...
I know that is a stupid question. but i found everybody saying their essays are amazing while i think mine is a piece of .....****.

I am personally not one who feels my essay is a great work of 21st century literature. My approach was a bit of a gamble, really, and I hope it doesn't come back to to bite me (I applied ED).

But yeah, I am no longer as confident about my essay as I was when I submitted it, but I could probably read yours and offer some suggestions if you'd like, and I'm sure other people in this board would as well.

T.T actually I have not done it yet......I changed my topic a couple times.

Score Update
My Dec SAT just came out.
I failed to get 2200, just 660 800 670 essay 10

superscore 2150

Essay would be awesome
one rec will be stellar another would be fine

chances?Thx
