I'm a huge optimist and it gets in the way of practicality! I've struggled a lot, but my upward trend is real impressive. My sophomore year is when I realized I needed to do something with my life. I went from a 2.7 to a 3.1 from mid-sophomore year to the end. And becoming President has surprised not only others, but myself as well. I'm a dreamer, basically and I just wanted to know what you all think my chances are for:

NYU (dream school)
UNC-Chapel Hill
Boston University
UT-Austin
Colorado-Boulder
Emory University
Oxford of Emory
Vanderbilt University (huge reach)
Johns Hopkins University (huge reach)

-accepted to Auburn, Alabama, and Tulane

P.S. If these stats look familiar, I had to change my username because it was my real name!

I'll chance back!

NYU - pretty high reach
UNC-Chapel Hill - pretty high reach
Boston University - very good chance/ very high match
UT-Austin - sorry I have no idea about the competitiveness of the school
Colorado-Boulder -sorry I have no idea about the competitiveness of the school
Emory University -match
Oxford of Emory -sorry I have no idea about the competitiveness of the school
Vanderbilt University -high reach
Johns Hopkins University - Very high reach

For now, I think I would take the January SATs to improve it a little more and I think you will have a significantly higher chance in all your schools because your ECs are very strong.

Please chance back!

You definitely need to apply to back up schools.

The person above me said Emory University was a match. That is completely wrong. It’s a high reach.

Your GPA and SATs are way too low to go to a top 20 school.
