GPA: 3.715
courses include Bio I and II, Chem I and II, Cal I and II, and all college cirriculum (not AP)
A's in all math/science so far except a B in Bio II :( which is pretty sad becaue bio is my favorite subject

will be taking Genetics, Physics, Biotechnology and Medical Geography so that will show up on my transcript

SAT: 1930 (horrible but Ive read that JHU is lenient on ED std test scores)
Math: 600
Verbal: 600
Writing: 730
Ive taken the SAT and gotten 1270 on just math and verbal so I really dont konw why they are so low. Ill be retaking them in a couple of weeks so stay tuned for an update.

no SAT II (YET!!!)
- plan to take Bio, MathII, Chem, Spanish (might want to minor in Spanish)

So there's the whole package guys. Please be honest. Im open to any and all suggestions

Hey... its me, aseema!! lol yea i kno I just blew my cover.. whatever.

I think if you bring up those SAT scores... you'll have a really good chance at JHU!

whoa!!! hey aseema. Wow glad to know im not talking to a stranger and thanks for the encouragement. I really need to bring up my SATs. (two good weeks to prepare) How did yours go in April? I ended up not taking that one... thought it would be better to give myself more time to prepare and face it a few months later. Keep in touch aseema :)

i brought it up from a 2030 to a 2140... lol shows how much of a difference forgetting a page can make lol! I bet you'll do great!

Anyways, I have a feeling your ec's are going to carry you a long way;)

yeah you seem to have a strong case

Just bring up the SAT scores and you'll have a pretty good chance at even BME (if you wanted). Good luck.

You have a wonderful chance!

Just an update and a hard decision:
I retook the SAT in June with pretty good results:
2100
M: 700 (could stand improvement;it's just barely in the 50th percentile)
W: 780
CR: 620 (it always gets me, but then again I never study this section; pretty far below the 50th percentile)

Im really happy I improved so much. I feel that I am in a much better position to apply ED. Ive been seriously considering BME. Do I stand a better shot at this major? Should I retake the SAT to try to bring up my Math at least? (not sure what to do with CR). Ive always heard that a 2200 is a really good score. Am i close enough? Is it really worth taking it a third time?

Money is also a big issue. Im crossing my fingers to get into my ED school, and be done with it all. If I am not admitted ED, I will definately have to look at other schools for the sake of comparing financial aid. Getting better SATs might help in this department as well.
