Please forgive me for asking advice once again!

Hi,
I recently posted asking advice for where my veteran husband should apply for Engineering Physics. He is currently in pre-engineering in our local 4 year university GRU. He has a 3.5gpa and a really great transfer essay ready. Here are the colleges he wants to go to. We are only applying to the following states which will pay for in state tuition for Vets. A lot of these states don't have EP specific degrees but he insists on it. Location doesn't matter unless you tell us Alaska!

Oregon/Nevada/Idaho/Utah/Arizona/Texas/Dakota/Minnesota/Colorado/Missouri/Alabama/Georgia/Illinois/Indiana/ Ohio/ Kentucky/ Virginia/Maryland/ Alaska/ Louisiana.

Here are the colleges he is already applying:

UIUC
CU
Ohio state
U of A
UVA

Can someone PLEASE chance me some matches and safeties. I really am uncertain of another university to choose. I appreciate the help:)

UVA: Reach, sorry but it’s just too low, even for a veteran.
Ohio state: match- it’s a really nice fit and I believe it’s good with vets and $$$
U of A: low match- good $$$ for applicants
UIUC: match

Ole miss: match
Lousiana state: safety

BUMP Please!

You are posting in the wrong forum. What Are My Chances is where high school students GUESS where they think others will get in. It is just a game.

If you post in the College Search and Selection forum you will not only be posting in the right forum, you may get a larger variety of responders.

As an FYI, my son graduated from Podunk college, away from the beaten path without any career guidance or help. He graduated with a BS Engineering physics 2011, and although sent out 75 resume’s he was turned down or never heard from most of these companies. His internships where outstanding, mainly overseas in hydrology. The only companies that contacted him was oil and gas. He is now a field engineer on the rigs travelling throughout the Western US. There are a lot of good schools out there and it ultimately depends upon what does he want to do with his degree. For field engineering the joke is most of the students at the top colleges are great theoretical but as far as applications, they still need to be retrained for screwdriver training.

Thanks, didn’t realize that “BrownParent.”

What about Purdue? Not an expert on the topic, but thought I’d suggest it anyway.
