...what do you want to know? Whether or not you have a ton of extra curricular activities...?

What is the activity about which you are passionate? Schools are not looking for long lists of extra curriculars. Better to do a few activities with passion or gusto, than a checklist of memberships.

well...i'm just wondering if you think i'm going in the right direction. I didn't mean to make myself look like i'm just adding stuff on my list. I have things I am passionate about. Like music (you can see that), and Peer counciling (that's evident too), and I think you can see that I like the humanities a lot more. I hope it's visable that I love what i'm doing because I really do. I'm not doing these activities because I think they'll be good for college. I hope you guys understand that.

well, yeah, being very active outside of school is going in the right direction, but I would strongly agree with 2010 above--while you can certainly put down all these activities on your applications, it would be to your benefit to showcase a real passion for one or two; maybe music for you. I got in with very, very few ECs (like...two...mayyybe three if you are very nit-picky) but really strongly played my love of one of them. Don't stress : )

I also agree with 2010. Seeing all of your ECs in one list doesn’t convey your passion for them well, so it’s hard for an observer to interpret how deeply involved you are in some of these activities. Besides music, the activity on your list that you seem the most passionate about, what have you done in some of your other activities? For instance, while being vice president of the French Club looks nice on paper, colleges like Wellesley value what you have accomplished in the club. These accomplishments require commitment to the goals of the club, and a person will most likely be committed to those goals if they have passion for the focus of the club.

You're headed in the right direction. When I applied I mostly had a bunch of random awards... nothing really supporting what I would someday want to major in, but they showed committment. I'm guessing your grades are pretty good, so I would say keep up the good work-- and don't worry, just like you can get in with just a couple of passions, you can get in with a bunch of passions because that's okay too.

Does any one else have anything to add?
