Hello everyone,
please read my story and give me advice.
when I was in middle school, my mother told me to study English because she thought that would increase my chance of getting in a great company later. At that time, I was not fluent in the language, but I love challenge. Thankfully, I got into one of the most competitive language school in my country.
During those 3 years of high school, I have developed my love for languages, and my love for America. That love urge me to apply into U.S university. I have been admitted, but the financial aid were not enough for my study.
It was heartbroken, but during the process, I have developed a liking for biology. I fortunately find a university in my country which offers biology major, and they also teach French. I love it, so I decide that I would apply to that university this year
I believe that the school would be wonderful, but there's still something missing in my heart : independence, culture diversity, English proficiency ...
because of that, I'm still searching crazily for an American university which meets my need. Reapplying feels stressful, yet excited . If you ask me why I want Stanford, I can only say that because, first, of its generous financial aid, of it challenging process, and last but not less important, its preference for passionate students.
My road, until now, is not clear yet. I never love something passionately, and I don't know how to love something passionately. please advise me on how to get my dream, although I understand that the tranfer rate is terribly low .Thank you.

Stanford’s transfer rate is extremely low, its financial aid to internationals is even lower. Do apply and tell your story, but don’t get your hopes too high.

Perhaps you weren’t trying too hard when you wrote your post, but if you were, your English definitely needs some work. As an international applicant, your TOEFL score is extremely important. Have you taken that yet?

Also, applying for financial aid as an international applicant will decrease your chances.

@ onemoreparent : thank you for your advice ^ ^. I would give Stanford my best shot without any expectation.
@ aleaiactaest : I’m sorry for making all of these terrible grammar mistakes. I often get carried away when writing and speaking. I write diary in my native language, but sometimes, when i reread it, I don’t even know what I was writing about @@. My English teacher complained about that a lot. It must stem from my carelessness.
I have taken Toefl (101) and Sat ( 2110). I believe that I have to retake those tests, since the scores are not to my liking.
And thank you so much for your advice I will be more careful next time.
