To the school funding problems has left the school between particular and difficult decision best for everyone. Should the school reduce intramural and interscholastic athletics or remove arts and humanities electives? Both decisions have greater impact on everyone, including students. I believe reducing the budget of intramural and interscholastic athletics.

By reducing the funding, students can still be involved and be able to make sacrifices as a community. When it comes to little things, students, teachers, staffs, and families would get more involved in the school's activities and such. It would become a natural routines and knowing what their limits are. If the school needed something for the intermural and interscholastic athletics, they can request fundraising like car wash, bake sale, talent show raffel tickets, and auctions that the school can do. It would show great team work to the school.

If the school cuts off art and humanities courses, it would lead to more drop out students or losing the students to another school. The teachers of the subjects would have to lose the job. Would that be fair for anyone? I find art and humanities courses is a way to express themselves and be able to appreciate education even more. This builds up the community and expose succeeding talents and skills. Art and humanities are surrounding us every day without realizing. It is because the school teaches us what we need to know and someday put it out to the world. Without it, our world is boring and troublesome.

I would decide to reduce the budget so everyone can have the opportunities to help the community. No students should have to sacrifice their courses and be discourage from something they would love to learn. Education is important and the school can always be creative to give a helping hand for the school's funding. Why sacrifice when the school's community has each other's back? It's what bring people together and create better society of today's generation.
