Hi,

Well I posted this in another of the sub-forums, but I also wanted to post it here as it relates directly to Vassar (or my interest in it at the least). Well here is what I posted on the other thread

Hello,

I am currently attending a community college, with the hope to transfer to a four year this fall. I first started CC taking welding classes, earning 30 some odd credits in 'Welding Technology.' This was more than anything for personal gain, not for a career path. After that I began taking my core classes/ general ed. classes. Well, fast forward to today, I am now on my 6th semester of CC. Looking at some of the schools that I would like to transfer to, I am beginning to get EXTREMELY worried. Take this one for example, "

"Maximum limit for considering applicants: once a student has completed more than four full semesters of college-level work, they are no longer eligible to transfer. Thus, students who already have a bachelors degree would not be eligible applicants."

Please keep in mind that my CC does offer a AAS in Welding Technology, therefore these welding classes are considered "college level" or 100 level classes. Would I be immediately disqualified from this school as a potential college transfer? Please, please, please help!

I have already sent out an email to the admissions office at Vassar, but I am hopeful that someone here will be able to alleviate my concern sooner. So does anyone on here have any knowledge on the topic on hand? Thanks.
