I finished full IB with Diploma in May and taking a gap year right now. Unfortunately my grades are very low :(
Physics HL - 6
Maths HL - 5
ITGS HL - 5
Chemistry SL - 6
Hindi SL - 5
English SL - 5
Physics Extended Essay - B, TOK - D
Total: 33

I wish to major in Computer science at GaTech (first choice), purdue or UMich Ann Arbor and I know 33 is very low. But Do I still have any chance considering I do well on other parts of applications? I was predicted 39. I should have applied last year with predicted grades. Now that I have actual score they wont even consider my predicted.

Assume I score 2100+ on SAT (750+ in Maths) and SAT II Physics, Chemistry, Maths II (700+ each). Please chance me I am really worried.

Your grades themselves are pretty good (esp in chemistry and physics), it’s just the TOK that’s bringing you down. I’m assuming that a computer sciences college may care less about TOK, since that’s more abstract and less technical anyway.
If you get the SAT scores you’re aiming for, you should have pretty good chances.
Colleges in the US care more about the actual grades you got in the class than the exam, so knowing those would be helpful, as well as your EC’s.

I have okay EC’s since I was involved in IB CAS and also some of the school clubs.
I was a lead actor in high school plays.
Played basketball and varsity table tennis.
Participated in computer literacy program.

But I don’t have computer oriented ECs. There were no clubs related to computers at my school. But other than that I spent free time reading books on programming and writing computer programs. It’s just like my hobby so not gonna mention it as EC.

I enrolled in some programming courses outside school. But that’s after I graduated from high school so I don’t think it would be appropriate to list it.

I am more worried about grades than ECs since I believe schools put more emphasis on grades.

It is perfectly fine to discuss a hobby. Technically, anything you do outside of class is an EC. It does not have to be a club at school.

Do include the information about your post-high school education. Were those certification classes, or were they at a college/university? If they were for college/university credit, find out if you need to apply as a transfer now.
