Hey, everyone. I signed up to take Differential Equations at my local community college as a dual enrolled student over the 2nd semester. I’m really looking forward to getting started, but this has introduced a major problem for me. My Differential Equations class is scheduled for the same time as my AP Macroeconomics/AP Government class. In order to take Differential Equations, I have to drop AP Macroeconomics and AP Government and take the courses online. I’m not opposed to doing this, but I’d have to redo all of the work (start from day 1) and I don’t know if this would look okay for the colleges I applied to. Please note that for the first semester, I received A’s in both classes. I applied to HYPSM and some other incredible schools, and I really don’t want this to seem like I’m trying to get out of doing my work. If anything, I’m just trying to enrich my education. Will colleges care, or what? Also, how should I go about letting them know? Thanks.
Just email the college to let them know
Agreed. They most likely will not care if you let them know, but you have to let them know. They do not like last-minute surprises.
