PLEASE HELP- DUAL DEGREE QUESTIONS

I am a current high school sophomore and I have my heart set on Penn. I plan on becoming a political psychologist and psychology and political science are both degrees offered by the College of Arts and Sciences. I heard about the dual degree program and I got the impression that to do this you need to apply to two separate houses in the University. I was wondering if it is possible for me to do the dual degree program instead of double majoring.

PLEASE HELP!

I am so confused about this whole thing and if anyone could clarify things for me that would be great!

If you are looking to study Psychology and Political Science, you would not pursue a dual-degree. You would be pursuing a double-major within the College of Arts & Sciences.

Dual-degree implies that a student is registered and completing the curricular requirements for two of Penn’s four undergraduate schools: The College, Wharton, SEAS and Nursing. If you are studying in two different areas within the same school, you are fulfilling major requirements for two disciplines and the core curricular requirements of only one undergraduate school rather than two.

Thank you so very much Chi-town23_33
You really cleared things up for me.

Glad to help! I was a dual-degree student myself, so I know a thing or two or three. Definitely not more than three, though.
