<p>I'm an Asian and I came here three years ago.
I'm a sophmore at a high school in VA.
I'm really dipressed about my grades,</p>

<p>9th grade
Chorus A
World History I A
Geometry Honors A
English 9 A
Biology A
PE A
Spanish 1 A</p>

<p>10th grade (I just found out on the last day of school)
Chorus A
Spanish 2 B+
English 10 honors B+
PE A
Algebra 2 Honors B+
Chemistry Honors B+
AP World History A</p>

<p>How bad is this?
And Will it be still bad even if I get a Straight As in my junior year with 3 APs?
I want to apply for Johns Hopkins, MIT, and possibly an Ivy.
What are my chances.
P.S. I have pretty good SAT score... (on the practice ones of course)</p>

<p>I do lots of extracurricular activies...(for only three years)</p>

<p>Wow. If you're really depressed about that grade even before junior year, people with a few Cs must go suicide. </p>

<p>Anyway, you'll be FINE if you get straight As in junior year. I think you're expecting yourself to be perfect.. :|</p>

<p>Just do well in junior year and you will be fine. If you are really worried about school, study for your upcoming classes next year.</p>

<p>if you get straight A's next year they won't even look at sophomore year. B+'s are not the end of the world, trust me.</p>

<p>i moved here 3 years ago from china too...
I was scared in my soph year b/c i got a B on my english class (acclerated).
But definitely dont be scared by the Bs as long as your GPA is alright.
What SATs you got? 2200s? 2300s? That can matter a lot.
And try to develop some special interests and ECs that will sepatate you from most other applicants in the Ivies.</p>
