Hi everyone,

I am an international student, and English is not my native language. It is a little hard for me to get a high score on TOEFL and GMAT, so I do not dream to be admitted by top universities.

Now I have an opportunity to be admitted to Master of Accounting(MACC). I have two choices:Cleveland State University and University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

Could you give me some suggestions, which one is better?

Thanks.

It depends on what you want to do. If you want to move to the Big 4, you need to go to the school where they recruit. OR You can enroll in a local community college or university and just take the accounting courses. You do not necessarily need a Macc to become an accountant.

Looking at the programs, the only real difference (aside from location, which is important) is how they handle those without a traditional U.S. / AACSB accounting background. Cleveland State requires an extra year or more of english, statistics, business and accounting subjects for those to catch up. Whereas Charlotte has a far less comprehensive set of prerequisites.
