PLEASE help me find a college =(

i can't find anything i want to go to. i think i find the one, then i google it and it turns out that everyone hates it there (i.e. northwestern university and NYU) I will answer any of your threads if you post a link and answer my question =)

I want:
-out of state (i'm in VA)
-really good reputation, like people recognize the name
-not impossible to get into, but not easy
-friendly campus people (preferably predominantly liberal)
- tuition <30,000
- preferably not totally greek
- it'd be nice if it was in a big city (nyc, chicago, boston, etc)

The CUNYs might meet your need.

[Tuition & Fees - Financial Aid - CUNY](http://www.cuny.edu/admissions/financial-aid/estimating-costs/tuition-fees.html)

It’s the tuition <30,000 that limits you for out-of-state. At that tuition you are better off in-state as far as reputation goes. That’s why most kids go in-state public. You get the best bang for your buck, especially in VA.

The SUNYs might also work.

I agree with checking out the SUNY and CUNY system. CUNY is based in NYC and SUNY is NYS I personally haven’t looked at the CUNY system but i have been looking at the SUNY system, and one SUNY school school that I’m interested would be a 5000$ tuition A YEAR and about 18,000 for all the expenses combined (including tuition), this is for in state students out of state tuition is about 13 thousand not 100% sure. Which would bring total expenses for the year at about 27,000$ this is specifically for SUNY Cortland here is the page for SUNY Cortland

And here is the general SUNY page

The tuition may not work, but financial aid may help for these:
George Washington
American
Northeastern
UMaryland
Drexel

(Villanova
Bryn Mawr
Haverford)-Outside of Philly
