Please help me find a monologue :)

Hello Everyone! I have auditions coming up and although feel like I've been searching for eternity, I haven't quite found "the one"

One of my schools requires a Shakespearean monologue, but I'm not going to worry about that yet. For now, I am looking for:

A two minute, comtemporary, female monologue (preferably dramatic but I am open to comedic if it will really suit me...) age 15- 22

Please post any resourses, any plays that have strong female monologues (that aren't overdone!), or just post how you found your monologue.

Thank you everyone!!

My D has had a lot of luck getting ideas from people who are familiar with theater and with her. They have given her suggestions that she has been able to sift through. Do you have a director, coach, teacher (even an English teacher!), actor you have worked with before, who could help you? Sometimes it only takes a couple suggestions to get things flowing because one play can lead you to another and to another (the magic of Amazon).

I also need help finding monologues/plays with young female roles, if anyone can help.

I once did a monologue from ‘night mother’ for my acting class. it is very dramatic and the monologues in it are great. I did the one where jessie is about to kill herself and her mother was convincing her not to. i cant find a link to it, sorry. but if it helps i remember the last line, “if you’ve got the guts to kill yourself, then you’ve got the guts to stay alive.” Hope this helped!
