I posted this in another topic but no one has answered so I made a new thread.

I am having such a hard time finding a modern/contemporary comedic monologue and, while I don't usually ask for suggestions, I do need some help. I've read so many plays and a push in the right direction to more material would be a great help.

I found a comedic shakespeare monologue, but I'd like to find a modern one to add to my group of audition monologues. It's the only one I really still need.

So if anyone has suggestions of comedic plays from the "classic modern" playwrights: Tennessee Williams, Arthur Miller, William Inge, Edward Albee, etc. Specifically with a female non-ingenue/character aged around 16-25.

Don't know if this is "classic" or even "modern" enough, but take a look at "Bell, Book & Candle". Gillian has a wonderful monologue while talking to her cat.

Thanks so much guys! I never knew about the list of plays on the MMC website. I feel like I have a better place to focus now. Thanks everyone so much!!

A lot of the plays listed has material that isn't age appropriate, at least for females. I'm assuming Marymount has no qualms about that when it comes to their audition process.

I checked out the MMC list, but i don't want to do a monologue from a play that a million other people are doing. Do you know of any more comedic monologues?
