please help me get matched with some engineering schools

So I know there are at least a million matching services that can help you get a match for college (there is even one on this site) but those never seem to be right. So i came to the college confidential community to help me out. This is my first post so hopefully i'm doing this right.

I want to major in engineering (i'm not sure what type yet...), and I am looking for good engineering schools. When it comes down to it, out of the colleges I am admitted to, I'm going to choose the one with the best rep, so I'm looking for colleges with good names.

My GPA is a 3.9128 unweighted, and I've taken 5 IB classes as a junior and 6 IB classes as a senior (but I'm not doing the full IB diploma).
My SAT score is 2220.
My EC's are relatively weak...
Personal tutor (2 years), Basketball (freshman year), Cross country (freshman year), Track (freshman year), Key club (freshman year), Chemistry club (junior year), Spanish club (junior year), Harry potter club (junior year), Link crew (senior year), Class council (senior year), Nhs (junior year) and my strongest, which is orchestra (6 years, played in the pit orchestra for 1 show, taken lessons for about a year, and lettered in orchestra)

So i know my ECs are pretty pathetic...
But what I'm really asking is:
With this profile, what schools (that are good for engineering) do you think are right for me?
I've got this list so far - i know give me a break, some are totally out of my league but I figure why not apply right?

Stanford, MIT, Berkeley, Harvey Mudd, Colombia, Cornell, Purdue, Carnegie-Mellon, University of Illinios Urbana Champaign, CalTech, Princeton, etc.

The thing is, with the big name schools, I know my stats are on par with everything, its just my ECs are sooooo not...
Anyway, if there are any other engineering schools you think are worth mentioning, i would appreciate ANY help.

And just to clarify, I am from a moderately well-off, upper middle class family. I am also Armenian, so does that help me any?

Your list is pretty good. You have some reaches, matches, and safeties. I would suggest U Washington.

You can’t do anything about your ECs at this point. But, I think your ECs are pretty good.

Good luck.

Olin (half tuition scholarship) and Rice would be good ones to add.

For matches/safeties: add U of Rochester and Lehigh.

thanks, i was thinking about rice pretty recently actually, and a few kids from my school are going to Lehigh next year. I didn’t know it was good for engineering?

I think 3 of their undergrad engineering departments are in the top 20.

Maybe add Villanova to your list - good reputation for engineering, I think it’s ranked in the top 10 for undergrad engineering.

try to look into Michigan, Northwestern, Georgia Tech, JHU and Rice as well. but i think you have a shot at Berkeley and Berkeley is hard to beat for engineering - a solid top 3 in America, and perhaps the world.
