Please help me with my college search

I am using the college board and cc searches to find colleges that "match" me. However, they both seem to be really optimistic and I don't want to feel like I'm being led on. Here is my information if this helps (superscored)
SAT M: 770
SAT Cr: 770
SAT W: 680
ACT Composite: 32
ACT Reading: 36
ACT English: 31
ACT Math: 33
ACT Science: 34
Weighted GPA: 4.2

Took/taking practically every AP course offered at my school as well as 2 more via eschool. Extracurriculars in band, science bowl/olympiad, clubs and volunteering. I intend to major in biology.

I would appreciate any help I could get and please, don't sugar coat anything, I just want to hear honest opinions. I will be applying to the classic top notch schools as a "let's hope and pray" but I need to create a better college list.

Bio major? Are you premed? If not, then what will you do with a Bio degree?

Your SAT is much better than your ACT.

What state are you in?

how much will your family pay?

Are you low income?

Do your parents have a good income, but an unaffordable EFC?

Do you have a non-custodial parent?

What kind of schools do you like?

big? small?
rural? City?
cold/snowy/rainy
warm/sunny
quiet?
rah rah?

I am planning to either go into premed or doctorate, leaning more into premed. I live in Hawaii and my family makes less thank 20k a year so we can’t pay that much for college. I think I would prefer smaller to midsize schools although I don’t mind any size. I don’t particularly care where my college is as long as I still some sort of access to a city or reasonably sized town occasionally. Weather is a non issue, I’ll go through sun, rain, snow, or hail.

Are you a URM (of Hawaiian descent or any other ethnic minority group)? Do you know your unweighted GPA?

I am of pure Asian decent and sorry, my school does not tell us our unweighted gpa.

You can calculate it yourself (colleges will). Don’t add any weight for honor or AP classes.

Are you familiar with the Net Price Calculators each college has on their financial aid pages? You will want to run that with your family’s income and assets for any schools you are considering.

Here are a few suggestions on the West Coast:

Pomona (reach, but should have good financial aid)
Scripps (if you are female, I don’t think you said, but it would be a good low match/possible safety)
USC (but I am not sure about their financial aid, check out the calculator or other posters could help)
Reed (kind of funky vibe there, read up on it before applying, and check the calculator)
Whitman (would be another possible low reach/possible safety, check the aid calculator)

The thing is that EVERY college offers a biology major, and your scores are good, so you have a ton of possibilities. Others to consider:

Haverford is good in Molecular biology, probably a match for you

Mount Holyoke (again, women’s college, but strong in the sciences, low match/safety) or Wellesley (also women’s, probably low reach)

Oberlin (not as funky as Reed, but a bit alternative. But they have strong sciences and should have pretty good FA). Probably a match for you.

Oh yeah sorry for not mentioning it, I am male.
