Please help on CR from the people who got 700+

^ haha I got a 710 so barely over a 700. But it was a big improvement from my 590..hahah. I did all the practice tests in the CB book. But that was over the summer when I had a lot of time. One of my friends just did the CR section from each practice test because that was her main focus.

I mostly did practice tests, checked my answers and reviewed my mistakes. Not much studying besides a bit of vocab...

are there any good prep books specifically for the CR part of the SAT?

You can refer to Kaplan Critical Reading Workbook. I personally find it useful

730.... So just a bit above.

I've heard people that make 780+ just read alot, which should help.

My advice would be, -don't- be tired for you test (especially for the long passages) and continuously remind yourself of the point of the passage/ what the author is trying to get across.

There's no real answer to getting a better score, but in order to get above a 700, you definately can't omit more than a couple. Omitting is a bad idea if you want to score a 700+ in any section on the SAT, the more you answer, the more points you can get.

You don't necessarily have to study endless hours... I didn't, but I'm really analytical so it helps.

Just do practice tests and move quickly.

So Kaplans was good for the CR section?

I got a 780 and I don't read very much. My advice: Don't overthink the questions.
