Is there any chance of me getting into SFS Georgetown with my stats?
I personally don’t know anything about Georgetown, but you are a force to be reckoned with with regards to the California schools you plan to apply to
Your stats are perfectly fine, omg do not stress so much!
As for reach, match, and safety:
Boston College (Match)
Bucknell (Match)
UCLA (Maybe a reach, mostly because it is so hard to get in out of state)
Carnegie (reach, but closer to match)
Emory (match)
GW (match)
American (safety)
Fordham (safety)
Lehigh (match)
NYU Stern (reach)
Georgetown (reach)
UNC, UVA (reaches, but again because of out of state thing, your scores are good, but the out of state thing is brutal)
Northeastern (match)
UPenn (reach)
U of Southern California (match)
Syracuse (safety)
Tufts (Reach)
Wake Forest (match)
Wash U at St Louis (reach)
William & Mary (match, maybe a reach)
Can you please chance me back! Thank you !
Are my ec’s ok? I feel like I should have more leadership positions?
@blueberry16 I feel like your ECs are strong, but, only the finance manager, varsity cheerleading, and the founder and president of Greenpeace stands out the most. The rest is what your average student who applies to top tier universities would have.
Also, I’ll give you actual breakdown of what I guess will happen in terms of admission chances(I didn’t have time yesterday)
Boston College- Match
Bucknell- Match
UCLA- Low Reach(Out of state hurts your chances)
Carnegie- Lowish Reach
Emory- Match
GW, American, – Safety
Fordham- Match
Lehigh- Match
NYU Stern- Reach
Georgetown (1st choice)- Reach
UNC, UVA- Low Reach
Northeastern- Low Reach
UPenn- Reach
U of Southern California- Reach
Syracuse- Safety
Tufts-Match
Wake Forest-Match
Wash U at St Louis- Reach
William & Mary- Match
Something you might also want to think about:
If you are able to increase your SAT score by let’s say 100-150, I’d say Georgetown would become a lesser reach, Upenn would still be a reach considering it is the best business school that the Ivy League has to offer
Cornell also has Dyson.
Economics is just a really competitive field to get into though.
@ImperialDeat thank you so much for chancing me!! do you think that I have a chance at Cornell? Will the fact that I I have a very competitive applicant pool hurt my chances a lot for my schools?
@blueberry16 I personally say you would probably stand out considering economics isn’t a female “heavy” field in order to maintain the diversity, but the only problem with Cornell is that their aid is pretty crappy compared to all the other ivies.
Is there any way I can increase my chances at schools like Gtown if I write a killer essay??
If I were you, I wouldn’t be too stressed out. With a 2170 and 31 on standardized tests, you will get SOMEWHERE. Like you said, you will be retaking both the SAT and ACT and you will then be competitive at most of the schools listed. Solid ECs too. You should be admitted to at least 50% of the schools you have listed. Good luck! P.S-- You have a ton of applications to fill out!

Boston College - Match
Bucknell - Match
UCLA - Reach
Carnegie - Reach
Emory - Match/Reach
GW, American, Fordham - Match/Reach, Match, Safety
Lehigh - Match
NYU Stern - Reach
Georgetown (1st choice) - Reach/Match if you did your application perfectly.
UNC, UVA - Reach?/Reach
Northeastern - Safety
UPenn - REAAAAAAAAAAACH.
U of Southern California - Reach
Syracuse - Safety
Tufts - Reach
Wake Forest - Reach?
Wash U at St Louis - REACH
William & Mary - Reach
Let’s see what other people think of my list…
I don’t know if this helps but according to my school’s naivance, I’m right in the range for wake forest, usc, and nyu. Also, how hard would it be to get into nyu cas versus stern?
