Happy New Year to you, too, and best of luck!

With your daughter’s academic stats, she would be a good candidate to get some decent merit money at St. Olaf and Lawrence. I agree with another poster, that while Macalester is a great school, they are not really known for their music program. Of course, it’s hard to call any school a “safety” when an audition is involved, but St. Olaf and Lawrence might be close to that for her.
I think someone else mentioned it, but also look at Rochester/Eastman and Case Western/CIM for a couple of schools that might be in the “match” category for her.
It’s been a few years now, but when my daughter was looking at schools for a double degree program with music and physics, we looked at: Northwestern, Rice, St. Olaf, Lawrence, Case Western, Rochester, U. Denver, Oberlin and CMU.
Good luck and enjoy the process!
Thanks @lilchaz - we have added Lawrence, CWRU/CIM, and Rochester/Eastman for review.
After a deeper dive into Mac, she put it at the bottom of her list and if I had to guess, I don’t think she will be applying there.
Thanks again for your insight
