Please Help! Should I cancel my SAT score?

My problem: I am sure that I got at least 3 wrong on the math, and because they were multiple choice I will get a -4 raw score from the quarter-point deduction. I could have missed even more than this (though I wouldn’t imagine it would be more than 1 or 2 more).

However, I wrote a great essay that I would expect to get at least a 10, and I really don’t think that I missed any CR or W questions.

I am scared that I will get my scores back to find like an 800/780 for CR/W but some sort of horrible 720 for Math. This would look very strange and probably spook the colleges I want to apply to (Stanford/UCB). I don’t really know what happened. :frowning:

Does this warrant a cancellation?

Not sure what to tell you but depending on the curve, three wrong on math could be less than 720. On the other hand, hard to throw out a test where you know you nailed CR and Writing. Good luck making a decision.

@uesmomof2‌ Thanks for the reply.

-4 is probably below 720. In october i did one wrong and one blank, so -2 and got 740.

Really? Glad I did end up deciding to cancel it. I am fortunate to have another opportunity to take the test, and I am sure I can study up for a better math experience the next time around.
