Should I cancel scores?!

On the December SAT, I think I did better on CR and Writing but I completely bombed math. I think my score for it will be lower than 500. My last math score was 590, do you think I should cancel the test so colleges wouldn't see my sharp decline in math, or will they combine the best scores for each section before the committee sees them, so that I have my old math score and my new CR/Writing?

I think I did badly on math too. I got 800 before, but this time, I think I got 4 or more wrong. But I'm not considering to cancel my score, because I think CR and writing was a bit easier.
It depends on if you are senior or junior. If you are senior, I'd say keep it, because you might be wrong about your estimation and this time, the math curve could be more generous. If you are junior, then you should think about canceling it and retaking it Jan.

yeah, cancel.

I'm wondering if I should cancel my scores.

I got around 700 for MATH [plus or minus 20]...
I'm expecting the CR and W to be good though. Btw, I'm not a senior.

"**** **** ***** creates an SAT composite score, not an SAT average score. This means that your highest score from each individual section of the exam - from different exam dates - are used to create a highest total composite score for you."

According to this info from my top school, I don't have to cancel it!!! But thanks anyway.

NEVER CANCEL YOUR SCORES unless you are certain you absolutely went down in all three sections.

DONT DO IT!

i actually have a 590 as my highest math score too and i am not cancelling even though i also think i did bad on this last dec test...i mean, you never know, if all the geniuses on this site who have gotten 800s before thought it was really hard, then the curve has to be pretty good, right??

i dont understand why you people with 800s retake the test at all...i am just trying to break 600...

you can go like this,

math-cr-wr

1st time - 800-200-200
2nd time - 200-800-200
3rd time - 200-200-800

and it would count as a 2400 at most colleges

And a paltry 1000 at the UC schools. What a difference :/

Actually crouton, you cant do that, because once that actually does happen theyre going to investigate on why you did so poorly. Its going to be pretty damn obvious that you just wanted the composite scores and youre going to be in a world of **** if you do that.
