please help to check my daughter's list

She would likely get money at Tulane and GW and if she applies for the scholarship program at Villanova she could get $ there too

thanks. yes, we have the art portfolio ready and her art teacher speaks highly for her works.

thanks. Actually Tulane was on her list but we just don’t know much about the city. To be honest I don’t feel new Orlane is safe

Do you know about the net price calculators? Have you run them for each school?

yes, we did. Actually with our financial background, our expected family contribution is around $20,000~$25,000 each year from all the Reach and Target/Match schools but the safe schools she chose so far is a little bit higher. ( we have U of Richmond in mind for now.)

She may get aid at Elon or SMU.
Has she considered Wake Forest if she likes warm weather? Or Rhodes?

she didn’t apply any EA or ED but will apply Emory scholarship which is before 11/15.

she didn’t like Wake forest.

It looks like you’re getting a fair amount of grant aid ($25K+), so I’m not sure that smaller merit awards are going to reduce your EFC.

It doesn’t hurt to apply to one of these automatic full tuition/ride schools: http://automaticfulltuition.yolasite.com/ U Alabama is one of the better options.

Then check the competitive full tuition/ride awards: http://competitivefulltuition.yolasite.com/ A few of these schools have been suggested to you.

I think D will have some success with the 100% need-met schools, so it’s a question of having a low match/safety that is attractive to attend, even if D gets into an affordable but costly Haverford, for example. There’s nothing more attractive than a significantly lower net cost, especially if grad school is in the cards, so adding 1-3 of these full tuition schools is a good idea. Also, she might want to relax her geographic preferences for her low matches/safeties if you end up hunting for big merit.

What are her potential majors?

Hendrix, Agnes Scott, Goucher would all be safeties.
Since she’s strong in Spanish as well as History, what about Dickinson?
