Your chances seem pretty decent. Try to fit in some volunteering-- various big brother and big sister opportunities are good. If you get at least a 30 compound on ACT and a 2000+ on the SAT (if you are taking) I’d say that V tech, BU, and George Washington are good bets. UVA and Georgetown are a little harder, so your best chance would be a 32 compound/2100+ for those.

Hey! The only thing you should worried about in my opinion is UVA and Georgetown, and even then you shouldn’t be that worried. The only issue of your act score. UVA says that standardized test score are a small fraction of the whole application so I wouldn’t be too worried. Georgetown is Georgetown so you’ll have to retake it for that lol. The fact that you’re from southern VA and not NOVA also helps you a lot!
