I want to know if it makes a difference if i apply through common app and my recommendations are sent by mail or should everything be sent the same way, it's just that my teachers aren't good with technology.

and i'm american but also born and raised in Egypt so i wanna know do i apply as an international student or what ??

I have the American citizenship which means i’m American incase anyone is wondering how i am both.

International student means that you’re being schooled in another country and you’ve never been to school in America nor are you living here as of now. I’m assuming that you’re not an international student.

As for recs, they can be mailed or sent through common app, the only cons to mail is that you’ll have to make copies for each college and send them out. You’d have to provide stamps and envelopes for your teachers. It doesn’t make a big difference, it’s just that electronically, it’s easier.

@WarmGesture what i’m saying is that if i’m sending my application electronically, must I also send the recs through the same medium?? or it doesn’t make a difference if i send it by mail?? because my teachers in Egypt aren’t technology-savvy so they’ll have to send it by mail.

As I said before, you can mail them or send them electronically, it does not matter. If your teachers are in Egypt and you also go to school in Egypt, then that makes you an international student, but why are you in school @ Egypt when you’re an American citizen, if you don’t mind me asking…?

My dad is American so i got the American citizenship but aside from that i was born and raised in Egypt. but colleges don’t care, if i have the American citizenship then i’m American.

But citizenship doesn’t really matter in considering if you’re a international student or not. It depends on where you currently go to school, therefore with what you are telling me right now, I would consider you an international student because I am assuming that you go to school in Egypt and your teachers are in Egypt too. Best of luck with your admissions process!
