I sent this message to one of the members of this site and still have not received any response. I will copy the message below. If anyone knows someone who could guide me through this process or advice, it will greatly be appreciated. I am not one to share such a personal issue online but right now it has come to that point and I really feel I can get some help here. Thanks to all.
Message:
I am writing in hopes to finally see the light at the end of the tunnel I have been in since February 28, 2017. I am a senior at a university and close to graduating this December; however February 28th everything changed in a total of twenty-four hours. I do not want to go into to much detail, but I will give you as much information as I can about my situation. February 28th after teaching class I was pulled aside to meet the Head of the Education Department and my Professor to talk. The talk included withdrawal from Practicum (which I was) along with a possible hearing due to the student conduct code violated. I would not like discuss what I did on a discussion forum but would be happy to email you more details and the universities policies on this process. The complainant explained I would be notified by mail or e-mail of the Associate Dean’s decision to dismiss or proceed with a hearing. According to the process, I researched in the handbook the time to be notified is way overdue and no one from the university has told me who I could even contact to find out the delay as well as who or what sender to look for that will be notifying me. When this happened, the next day I went ahead and received legal council to be safe. I want to know if I should email the complainant about why time is taking so long, the Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs, or the Assistant Vice Chancellor/ Associate Dean of Students, or to continue to wait for an answer? Also, is this normal to not hear anything for this amount of time? I heard this tends to be a fast process.
