So I applied to Tulane on October 27th with the personal application and they recieved it with no problems. Two days later I recived an e-mail saying they were missing my highschool transcript and guidance recomendation. I requested it 20 days before I applied from my school guidance department and they said that it was sent in. I went back yesterday and they said that they sent it through commonapp to the school but I didn't do the commonapp version and that was why they never recived my info. I applied for early action but now my school is mailing my stuff (hardcopy) today so the postmark would be after novemberl 1st. Did that just ruin my chances?

You'll be fine. Set your mind at easy by contacting the Admissions Office. Oh, and next week contact them again --- just to make sure their file on you is complete.

They probably have 2 files set up on you. When you speak to a rep, explain this to them and ask them to please double ck to see if they have 2 partial files. This happened to my son last year-- turns out they had 2 half complete files because he started the personal app but decided to use the common. app. Once they merged the 2 files all was fine, but it took a few phonecalls (they kept telling him to wait). But once someone finally checked into it (after the "give it a few days" suggestions) they found the files and merged them. Good luck.

they just got everything today, hooray!
