it's 4 weeks tomorrow!

My application was received as complete on line on October 16. tomorrow is 4 weeks. Should I call? I thought that the personal application guaranteed you an answer within 4 weeks.

Wait, does it say "we are currently working to render your decision"

nope. still says "due to an unprecedented increase in number of applicants..."

Yeah, so that means they have everything. And its said that since 4 weeks prior? I'd say call them because thats sort of weird.

i think they clock in the four weeks from when it sayss working to render decision..but yeahh call anyways

For the last 2-3 weeks, Tulane's site has said they've received nothing of mine--even with an application sent online...

I was told to be patient and wait a few more weeks because Tulane is currently receiving 40 bins of mail a day and can't begin to process this all.

they processed my stuff sooooo fast. i submitted my app on November 1st and had my recommendations sent in like two days before that and they made a decision in a little over a week

ahhhhh.
i submitted my recs etc like oct. 26 via mail. and submitted my application online on oct. 28. why have you heard but i havent haha

finally spoke to tulane today. Although the application was listed as complete, but when they actually looked at the file, they can't find the transcript and everything sent from the high school. Therefore, it was bounced back. Good thing we checked! Will now get the guidance office to fax everything on Monday! Hope this doesn't push us back several weeks!!!

It will push you back.

We had the same situation. When my daughter called after 4 weeks, Tulane couldn't find her transcript even though it was sent in early October (the transcript was also sent to 5 other colleges who all received it). Her counselor had to fax a new copy. It now appears that she won't hear until mid-December.

Disappointing, and it's influencing my opinion of Tulane, but I won't speak for my daughter.

Tactics, this year Tulane is receiving something like 40,000 applicants. It happens. Trust me I'm worried myself. It still says that they haven't received my ACT scores or my Personal Essay.

As for recs, did we need more recommendations than just the guidance counselor? If so I'm screwed :|

my daughter heard on Thursday that she was accepted, so this did not push her wait time out another 4 weeks!

congrats jill :)
