I went to a college and made terrible grades for 2 semesters because I was doing a major my parents wanted me to do. Transferred to a community college and went there for a year and now have to transfer because I am done with those classes. I didn’t pass many classes at my first school and at the community college i have a 2.75 gpa. I want to transfer to Texas tech because I can become the student assistant. Do you think they will accept me if I tell them I was in the wrong field and I am doing what I want to do? I’m passing all my classes and need to get this student assistant job please help.
According to their common data set Texas Tech accepted 80% of transfer applicants last year.
How many credits have you completed? (Received at least a C- in). Can you re-take the classes you did poorly in before? That would improve your gpa.
