Lol to bicyclekick - the word "obfuscate" itself is obfuscating....

It would be cool to hear how you guys "heard" of your favorite word. I picked up the word "catharsis" at Barnes and Noble from some guy ahead of me in line, and it sounded funny and it took me a while to look it up at home (because I thought it was spelled with a k.)

Your stories will definitely help me remember your words!!!

fignewton, I would definitely like to hear where you got the word "callipygian"............................................... hahahahaha

cacophony (10char) :P

Well, since mine has already been taken...

Innocuous (adj). - harmless; innocent

I love the word innocuous too. I heard of my words from random SAT review books.

juxtapose!

I like words that are fun to say...but that might only be because I'm not a native speaker XP

affectation.

yeah obfuscate is easy to remember

whenever you feel confused about what it means, you're acting out the word! lol

P.S. obfuscate was one of the 2 words i learned specifically for my first sitting of the SAT (the other being unctuous, which by the way, has a tertiary definition that means greasy), and obfuscate was on the test! though sadly it was not the correct answer, lol

Anyway, another (more likely to appear) favorite of mine:

dissemble - to lie

treacle- contrived or unrestrained sentimentality

^ heehee love ur sentence

tammgiar, i HAVE to know what sesquipedalian means !!!

also, bicyclekick,
