If there were 25 words to know by Saturday, what would they be? Lets create a solid list! I think it will help a lot of people freaking out for the March 14th test (including myself).

My words:
1. ephemeral- short lived
2. magnanimous- generous
3. unequivocal- w/o doubt

magnanimous got me on the PSAT. Good one.

haughty-disdainfully (contemptuously) arrogant word showed up on both of my tests

anachronism (out of place in time) and ascetic (self-denying) are good ones

I missed impecunious...

not having pecuniary resources or a lack of money on last years PSAT and somehow managed to miss prognosticator this year, lol. That word was on the practice tests that I took and everything.

Pragmatic: Practical

^ I've seen "pragmatic" multiple times. Solid bet.

They love "jaded" too.
Paucity was a good one...

I'm so glad I've been taking Latin throughout high school, its so easy to spot root words now!

Last time "gerrymandering" got me...means manipulating boundaries...

Weirdest word I've ever heard

"gerrymandering" ^^^

how ironic. i just learned that word today after missing a question based on it on my Participation in Government course.....creeepy

acme/apex/zenith - they all mean highest point.

Words are easy. We need a math discussion. NOW. LOL.

"Sesquipedalian" - means someone given to the use of using very long words.

I got "gerrymandering" right on the PSAT =)

Here's a couple good ones: "reticent" which means reserved, and "garrulous" which means extremely talkative.
