That's why I hate my school's grading system. No weighting of any kind. I've taken all AP/enriched classes with the exception of math all the way through, and there are kids who take slacker classes and end up with a 4.0 and get valedictorian. At least they're changing the system, but it won't take effect until the class of '08. Gar.

4.18, 5/87 (class size will get smaller soon, some people don't have enough credits to graduate)

My school has a standardized curriculum EXCEPT for AP Spanish Literature which pretty much only native speakes can take/get an A in the class. I've been crippled by a lack of an AP Math class and only AP sciences are allowed to be taken in Senior year. I'll make my move up the ranks soon, since some people are not doing to hot in regular calculus.

3.6-3.7, top 15% at a competitive private school.

I don't see how on earth anyone can have a 5.25. The most we can get is a 4.33 if you have straight A's and everything is weighted. (our weight for honors\AP is .33, and often honors classes are more difficult than AP).

Should'nt your weighted gpa be 5.0 since your uw is 4.0?

crashingwaves,
Should your weighted gpa be 4.98 at the most, since you have 3.98uw?

wzzz...short answer ....NO. no no. not everyone is in all AP classes and not evryone has the same multiplier for honors/AP classes on weighted gpa.
