Want to major in Computer Science and Engineering from MIT ..

Haven't taken any AP classes but my course {C.B.S.E.} include coursework from collegiate level (I and II year) and some topics of post graduate level as well

SAT score? SAT subject scores? Your grades seem to be more of a b+ in American GPA, especially core science curriculum. Top tier like MIT are essentially looking for the best of the best. Let me put it this way - how do you qualify in your country in terms of ranking. Even then, other things like EC/leadership/international competitions weigh in. There are plenty other good colleges in US, so I wouldn’t discount that. But getting financial aid will be a factor.

Heyy thanks for you your valuable comments …
well lets put it this way … according the link
[Academic grading in India - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia](Academic grading in India - Wikipedia)
You will find that i actually stand at A+ and Distinction/Honors if we compare it to US Grading system and that’s out of the question becuz I m at A/A+ in India as well … so what do you suggest now ?? as for the SAT scores i have 2380/2400 in SAT II … and will put SAT I scores in October … and i put some name of competitions of National and International both I’ve been in and how fared in them … So what should i do now ?? In which fields i have to work specifically for MIT ??

20more … Yes i was … but won only a bronze !!! and what about the other stats are they gonna support through the admissions ?? … i need to know where i stand !!!

That grading system is not for high school - I believe it is for college level GPA. Also US high school AP courses are college level, meaning it is harder to get A’s. Honestly none of us here are admission folks. One thing I do notice is lot of international students - they tend to undermine US high school education. Those who do get into the top Ivy’s are really the best of the best. Meaning they have taken huge number of AP classes and scored 5 in most of them (in layman terms that pretty much compares to getting close to 100% in your high school subjects).

You want to apply to MIT, go for it. Dont take advice or speculation from people here. All we can say is the top students from a lot of countries are probably applying there. So if you think you are top 1-5% in the country (not just in your school), you have a good shot. You need to compare yourself to the #1 guy who got into the best college in your country. Again, we dont know all details. Just apply and see.
