PLEASE RESPOND!-about arts supplement

I contacted the orchestra conductor at Amherst and he told me that he would love for me to send in a CD with my application so a month ago I recorded the first movement of the concerto. However, a couple of days ago I found out that I needed two contrasting pieces. My private lessons teacher (who recorded the CD) is not in town so I cannot record another piece onto the CD and I have been trying to contact the orchestra conductor but he isn’t answering his email. Should I send in just the first piece with a note explaining why I couldn’t send the other piece and saying that I will send another one later, or should I just not send it??

Please respond!!
I have to send it by tomorrow!

Thanks!

ive talked to a couple of college professors and experienced music teachers and they all say that they basically just want to know if youre good or not, which they can essentially tell in thirty seconds. they realize they are not analyzing you for a conservatory or anything, so i would definitely send what you've got. obviously though, it couldnt hurt to just email their admissions office and explain the problem and ask if you should send it later

Thank so much for the help!
