Hey, I go to a hard school. The kids who used to get all 100%s on everything are getting all B minuses now. Man are they hillarious! You need to just look at these people and think for a second. It's not that bad. And C's do NOT mean you're lazy!!!!! It's better to get a ton of A's and C's then to get straight B's. It makes life a bit more interesting, don't you thinK?

well i can understand some ppl who want to go to harvard, princeton, and yale and are now shocked at getting a B. i had 2 in soph, and i'm getting 2 b's right now!

Counting summer courses, I got a B in geometry the summer before freshman year.

Without it, I haven't gotten any form of a B or lower since 5th grade.

Course, this year, I'm looking at my first B in Calc BC and possibly a B+ in AP Chem. :( That's okay. I tried my hardest. 8 more weeks to pull it up! :P I'm a junior, btw.

Well my counselor told me a guy with 66average(out of 100) and 1380 on SAT got into CUNY Baruch college.........the counselor even told him "ur not gonna get in with a gpa like this.".........she was wrong, he went back giving her a peace sign saying he got in. @_@

B's are for losers, cool people get A's

My quarter grades are like C..C+...B...B+..no As.

BUt I don't care as much since I can pull them up by the end of semester

That's what happens most of the time

the world isn't going to end because you got a B. just do the best you can, nobody can ask for more than that.

My teachers got bad grades in high school and they turned out fine. One of the teachers failed high school with a .67 gpa (well...I know it was less than 1.0) then is amazingly a pretty good teacher from what I hear.

Another failed all her math classes, became a waitress/pizza tosser, then went back to a JC, and took math and is ironically a math teacher now. A really good one too.

Take it easy, kid. You can get a few Bs and still get into even the most competitive colleges.

From what i have heard is that colleges only look at semester grades....so if you pull it up this quarter you will be fine :) isn't it like that?

they also look at extra curricular stuff. if u spend all ur time studying for the B grade and did nothing outside, they'll put u on a waiting list or something.

heh a few B's never hurt you. (except for some of the people here I guess.) I have gotten a B in one class every year of High School except Junior year, and my transcript looks fine. Do not let a few bad grades bring you down just keep working hard and doing stuff outside of school and you are golden.

WOW, this is why I left highschool sophomore year to homeschool. Listen to you guys!! LOL I mean, I admit I used to be the same way. Bs used to make me feel pretty crappy. But, really, grades are NOT important, which no one is going to believe but... you should be learning for the sake of learning, not for the sake of getting that revered A. If you're learning becuase you want to learn, the grades are gonna come naturally.
I don't get any grades at all (for the subjects I study at home-- I am taking a Community College us history course tho). And I plan on applying to some top tier schools, and make them look past the lack of grades to see what I've actually learned.
Not trying to sound rude or anything:) I just feel sorry for kids stuck in school. It's so much pressure, and you don't learn much, after all the work you put in. Don't mean to advertise homeschooling w/o being invited to, but its such a difference. I could never go back to a public highschool. Good luck to everyone though:)

B's are so not fun. I ruined my GPA before I started HS -- summer driver's ed came on our transcripts, and I got a B+! (I had A in class and C+ on the road... I was a bad driver.) Anyway, I'm second in the class because the valedictorian got a better grade than I did in DRIVER'S ED! Grr.

I've gotten 3 B+'s (english all three years) and hopefully I have A's for this quarter. :(

I had a B in technology 7th grade.

what's bad is teachers give grades by ur impression........i hate those kinda teachers.
if u make a good relationship with them by talking to them a lot, they'll give u high grades even if u dont show participations. some of them are racist too, if ur not their race don't even expect a C+ so forget about the better grade B.

the stupid BOE laws, dun work all the time. yet nuttin is done.....I worked mai @s$ off on bio...........passin every test n da teacha went blind n gave me a B-............I report him to the AP n only got a B+ back.....

im getting a B in honors physics. i had a B last year in honors chem too, but i brought that up to A and A+'s later on. im kinda scared about what colleges might think about me and the sciences

I almost got a B in 5th grade...

2 B's in frosh year(lazy, didn't try and do the work for that class), and one B+ in sophomore year (89, ouch!)
