Please tell me you've all gotten at least one B

Hi everyone!
We have block scheduling at my school and so we just had our first session finals...
I had an A in Honors PreCal, but because of the final, I dropped to a B...
I'm a sophomore, and this is my first B... I wanted to know if this B ruined my transcript... or was this B bound to have happened anyways? Please share your experiences...
The other classes I have this term is Honors English, AP World History, and Pe; all of which I have A's. I'm just so worried about math... and I heard the final for second session is near impossible...

relax, a B won't drop your GPA much. Colleges won't look at a transcript and reject you because you have a B. It'll probably have no effect if you're still doing well on other subjects.

im block scheduling too. just study hard, and yes a B can kinda ruin ur transcript. for me, i was really happy because of my straight A's, but then 2 B's in soph year (adv pre-med and hon brit lit) just destroyed my happy river of A's. just... try to get an A

no way, i've had plenty of B's in high school

most of them are weighted, so it's plus 10 points, which makes it an A. but my freshmen year, I went to a different, much harder high school that didn't weight or rank or even have AP's because the classes were just assumed to be AP level...and I got B's there. no worries.

I've only finished one year and I already have a B :(

I've gotten a handful of B's, don't worry. Just keep working hard in your other classes and aim for the A in all of them. Despite popular opinion, having a few B's here and there WILL NOT kill you. I mean, you for your college app, you still have test scores, ECs, essay, teacher rec, and then the interview. Relax, life isn't over.

I have, but whatever; glowingamy, if you've only finished one year, that means you're a freshmen?? some colleges don't look at freshmen grades

i've always gotten straight As (now am a first semester senior who has always taken the "rigorous schedule")... but that's all over now. with the introduction of AP Physics in my life, I am "happily" looking at my first C+...

I'm a sophomore now. But I don't think it's physically possible for me to get above a B in math so...

i have 2 Bs, Freshman Year Algebra 2 Honors and Junior Year Pre-Calculus Honors. i hate math, can you tell? lol

Of course people get B's. Even I have gotten one...on a test.

I've had A's, B's and C's, you guys are pathetic

plenty of B's. at least at my school its only the anal retentive that get straight A's. There are some of those though...like my sister who went through high school and college and has never gotten a B in her life. sigh

B isn't hard, those who get C's must've been hanging out all day and night n didn't put any effort.

Oh my goodness, I have received a B, what ever shall I do? .. kinda funny :P

I have a couple of B's right now.

I'm still breathing.

It's understandable that when you get your first B, it's pretty tough. But, don't worry, it's not the end of the world. Colleges won't deny you admissions just because you lack the A, whose place is replaced with a B in your course. Just move on and focus on the current quarter/semester, and you'll do fine. I myself got my first B sophomore year, and since it was the first time in my academic career since 5th grade that I got a B, I was stunned. Keep in mind though that getting your first B shouldn't let you accept getting more and more B's and make it into a habit. If you finish high school with 4-5 B's, with 1400-1500 SATs and good EC's, you'll probably end up at a Top 50 or higher college.

Don't worry too much. There are only two kids in my entire school who've never gotten a B- they also happen to be our valedictorian and salutatorian, and the only 4.0s in the class. It's not that our class is dumb either- 12 1400+ scores, etc. Bs happen, even to smart kids. Don't let it get you down, and just work to bring it up next quarter.

Just keep a 3.8 UW, and stay in the top 10-5% of your class and you are dandy.

And I have gotten 3 B's so far: Honors Physics(happy that wasn't a C!), AP Lit, and Chemistry. And I still am in the top 5%. Woohoo. And the nice thing about block scheduling is that the only grade that counts is your final semester grade. I've gotton tons of B's on my midterm grades, but ended up pulling up the final grade.

Hey, I go to a hard school. The kids who used to get all 100%
