Please UConn, Fordham or Missouri?

I live just outside of NYC. I was accepted into these three schools. I wanted to study journalism/communications in the process of becoming a sports writer. The problem i am having is choosing between these three schools. It was also really important for my school to be a legit contender in major sporting events because I am a sports fanatic.

UConn -
Positives: Good distance away from home, not too far, not too close. Major sports program, party scene is good. Financial Aid was ok.
Negatives: Communications program isnt elite. Campus felt kind of big.

Fordham -
Positives: Beautiful campus, right outside of NYC meaning plenty of internship opprotunites, communications program ok.
Negatives: Very close to home, Sports program isnt elite, communications program isnt elite.

Mizzou -
Positives: Elite Communications/Journalism school. Major sports program.
Negatives: Very far from home. Finacial aid wasn't great meaning it didnt offset the price of having to fly from Missouri and back several times a year.

I currently rank them in this order but after seeing Fordham today in the beautiful weather it may be tied now. I also want to pick the best school for my future past college as well as during. Thank you so much for helping me.

I don’t think it has a very good communications(uconn)? That’s what a teacher told me.

Well too me Fordham is right near the ghetto( I lived in NYC) which is cool if you like city life but I’ve seen too many cop sirens outside of Fordham during the winter and plus it isn’t even in the good half of the bx. Inside is pretty though I’ve visited it twice.

Don’t know about the last school.

I think it comes down to what kind of college environment you gravitate towards and where you would feel most comfortable. I’m a UConn grad and loved the rural location. But I was in the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources so a rural campus was only natural for me. Fordham is in the Bronx, although a nice part of the Bronx. I have a friend whose father was a professor at Fordham a long time ago. Fordham is high on my friend’s son’s college list. As for Missouri, I don’t know anything about the school. Have you considered Syracuse’s Newhouse School of Public Communications? Definitely an elite communications school and big time sports.
