Fordham or Uconn

So I still have a couple schools to hear back from but basically it’s going to come down to Fordham and uconn. Fordham is really expensive. I got a decent scholarship but it’s still a lot and I’m hoping I’ll get some financial aid. Uconn is obviously more affordable and a better deal but everyone I know basically goes to uconn as I am from connecticut. I love how I can meet a lot of new people at uconn but I don’t love how big the classes are as I really don’t think I would do well in such a big class. It does seem like uconn may be more if a “fun” school. I already found someone at Fordham who I would most likely room with as we’ve already become basically best friends, but I’m still keeping my options open to other schools. What do you think would be the best choice in my position? (I’m a biological science major)

They’re super different. Fordham is small, Uconn is obviously huge. Uconn is located in the forests, while Fordham is in the Bronx and in the biggest city in the US. Fordham is Jesuit, Uconn is not affiliated with any religion.
What do you want out of a college? They’re basically the same when it comes to rankings/name recognition.

I want to have a lot of fun, meet new people, and get into a good PA program after

No bad choices here. (For full disclosure my S went to Fordham and loved it). The atmospheres are hugely different: rural v urban, large v mid-sized, Jesuit (with a large core curriculum) v public, Greek life v no Greek life, big time basketball v less of a sports culture (although Fordham’s football team is vastly improved). Nobody can make this decision but you and your family. If they are both affordable I’d suggest that you go to accepted students day at the two schools – that helped to solidify a decision for my S.
