damnnnnnn,

ur #1 in a magnet school and you have pretty good ecs?

u have a GREAT chance!

good luck!!! :)

taking SAT three times!? dudee once more should be enough... your scores are already great - once they're 7__, it doesn't really matter anymore....

haha a "GREAT chance" at Harvard? Definitely was not expecting that!

I was pretty disappointed with my math score, which is low for the engineering school at Duke and for possible merit scholarships at Vandy. I'm pretty sure a 2300+ would improve my chances with Harvard too (if even slightly)?

you seem pretty solid. the only thing is that your sat 1 math score (710) seems a little low for someone so interested in science...

yup, I agree and can/will fix that.

on average, how many kids from your school get into harvard/other ivies?

None this current year, our val was rejected from UPenn-Wharton. 1 got into Yale the year before I believe. I think a few more get into MIT...but overall not a lot get into top tier schools. Our magnet program was just recently considered a separate school from the traditional, and only got a spot on Newsweek last year. Plus our magnet class sizes are around 100. Ha maybe those are the reasons, but I'm not positive?

lalalalala

you should try taking the ACT

your GPA is pretty good in connection to the rigor of your courseload. However, your SAT's could be more impressive (they are not bad by any measure). Your EC's are pretty good too. Make sure you trim the focus of your EC's to really represent your research and involvement in science. Overall, I say as good a shot as anyone else.

34 ACT. slightly better?
