Class rigor with grades

high school classes in middle school (in another state)-
I’m not sure of the +/- for these letter grades
Spanish 1 advanced (A)
Spanish 2 advanced (A)
Honors Earth Space Science (B)
Honors Biology (A)
Honors Algebra 1 (A)

high school (in MA)-

note: the successive levels at my school are SP (standard prep), CP (college prep), AE (accelerated enriched), and Honors/AP (yes, they clump it into one level)

If it makes any difference, I go to one of the top, most difficult public high schools in Massachusetts. My school doesn’t do class rank but because there are many of the smartest people at my school, my class rank probably isn’t impressive. However, could the high level of my school help me in admissions at all?
Also, at my school it is customary that you only start taking AP’s junior year. That’s why I don’t have many. I don’t know if colleges know this.

BIOLOGY AE (they made me retake bio…) (B)

11th grade:

Thank you so much for your help! I truly appreciate it!

Based on decision threads, I can typically assess admissions at some schools with a good degree of success. However, UConn is NOT one of them at all. They are highly unpredictable.

As a rule, admissions tend to be tougher for certain majors (engineering, nursing, etc). Here is an article describing this year’s incoming class http://today.uconn.edu/2015/08/uconn-to-welcome-largest-ever-freshman-class/

UConn should know your school if you are in MA. In general it should help to come from a high school with rigorous academics. Your grades seem competitive, but it’s tough to tell exactly how the school will view them. Try to get your SAT M + R above 1300. I would pick which ever section you think you can improve the most and prioritize studying mostly for that one. Your grades in math seem the lowest. Therefore, if you can get a 700+ in the math portion of the SAT, then that should help offset the low math grades. However, you have the most room to improve your reading score, so you will have to make that choice.
For ECs you should definitely narrow that down. Anything where you held a leadership position should be prioritized and the things with 2+ years of participation should be the second most important factor.
