Could I get into UConn?

I absolutely fell in love with UConn the second I stepped foot on campus my junior year of HS. Didn't do too well on my SATs so I started looking at other schools and didn't wanna get my hopes up for UConn. Now, I'm a senior in HS and wondering whether or not UConn is a possibility for me or if it would be a considered reach school.

I appreciate you taking the time to read this, thank you so much in advanced!

:)

What are you looking to major in? Your SATs are a little low but your gpa is great.

I can only tell you our experience: My son is a current UCONN sophomore majoring in Mech Engineering. He had a 1980 SAT (720M 660CR 600W) and a 3.3.gpa, no APs, no sports, no school clubs but he did have a job all through high and is an Eagle Scout (with all the ECs and volunteering involved with Boy Scouts and doing his Eagle servcice project).

The summer between his junior and senior year of high school he attended a summer program at UCONN for high schoolers interested in majoring in engineering. After that program, UCONN was his top choice.

Who knows, maybe he was admitted just to get the OOS tuition! Good luck!

Thank you for your reply! I’m also OOS and plan to major in Psychology
