Chance on a 1-10 scale?
1 being a safety, 10 being a dream school/reach

I don’t think NYU is that far of a reach actually. You have good SAT scores, although NYU doesn’t actually superscore the SAT.

Im pretty sure they do super score it… I specifically asked the representative who gave the NYU conference at my high school and he clearly explained it to me…

NYU does superscore the SAT, you are right.

I don’t think it’s a “reach” either. I would say a 6 on a scale of 1-10. The GPA is not stellar, but EC’s are solid and SAT scores are good. Absence of SAT 2’s may hurt a bit, but it should not be too big of a deal.

Best of luck!

thank you, I had a conference with my guidance counselor and head of guidance today and they told me its very hard for me because everyone who was accepted last year had a 90+ gpa… but they didn’t have my resume out so they didnt count that.

and I’m taking two SAT 2 tests november that I will rush in for ED.

Regardless… I’m still really really worried about getting in

don’t worry you’re a pretty candidate. you’ll get in!
