Point Park

Does anybody know how fast point park takes to process your application and tell whether or not you were accepted to the school? Also, will you know on you’re pointweb account before you get a letter in the mail?

Has anyone heard anything from the Dec auditions yet?

slwalker42, My daughter received her acceptance letter today (1/16) from the December audition. It was postmarked 1/13. Good luck to you.

bsinc121, it took about a week and a half after I got all of my application materials in to hear that I was academically accepted, and about three weeks after my audition to find out that I was accepted to the conservatory. My Pointweb status changed to “academically accepted” before I got a letter notifying me of that, and if you’re accepted to the conservatory, Pointweb will say that the school’s last communication with you was a theatre scholarship award letter, sent on whatever date.

My daughter has just decided to pursue dance beyond high school after having already applied last fall to her college choices. She is auditioning for Point Park in Atlanta in 3 weeks. Does anyone know if this is considered late in their auditioning process?

my d just did the dance audition for point park yesterday and they said it would be 6 weeks before they sent acceptances, so I would say that Atlanta in 3 isn’t a big problem. I don’t think they have completed many of the dance auditions as of yet, maybe only 3, and they list dates up through April.
The audition we just finished was very crowded - about 50 dancers and was listed as closed but none of the others are yet.
If you aren’t talking specifically about dance, I’m sorry but that it what I understood from your post.

Anyone auditioning at Point Park on the 13th for MT??? Lol all my auditions are so late!

I understand the Point Park has a great rep for Dance and a growing one for Drama, but are just as, if not more, we’re interested in the calibre of Vocal training. Is it classically based and what are the genres taught?
Also, is it true that they now have more alumni on B’way than any other school?

Thanks very much for any insight!
