Poland Disaster

This is so sad! =(

How does a presidential plane crash!? Shouldn't it have up-to-date tech to prevent such accidents? (slightly angry)

And what does Poland do now? They have no president, financial advisers, military chief, navy chief, etc. They have no government! =(

This is so bad. I hope Poland recovers.

Yeah I saw that, this is pretty devastating.

I was shocked when I heard this. Like you said, with all this modern technology, it should have been avoided. It’s sad to hear how great a leader can be taken down so quickly.

I hope the country can get through this.

The plane crashed because the pilot disobeyed his order to land in different air field and the airplane was crappy because Poland didn’t have enough money to improve it or build a more advanced plane.

The president and his advisers–I was sad that Poland lost those people, but these people don’t handle domestic affairs, so Poland is fine.

I learned the information from the news.

@ jerrry

Well what if a country decides to invade Poland now? Ironically it could start WWIII…
What if some radical fascist group rises up?
Poland is not fine! Freaks out Waves arms wildly

Poland will be fine, though this is a tragedy. Too few leaders for that nation is better than too many (cough Partition of Poland cough)

I think the airplane they were in was pretty up to date. I read that it had up to date radars and such last November (last fall sometime).

It’s a tragedy. That’s why high officials shouldn’t ride in airplanes together… I’m guessing that the UN would step in if anything bad happens with leadership (don’t quote me, I’m not into politics and policies and stuff so I’m just thinking…).

This was unbelievable when I heard it. How can a pilot for the PRESIDENT be so unprofessional? They didn’t even have enough money to buy a modern jet?

Incredibly tragic. I hope their government and citizens can get through this.

This is horrible. :frowning: Both accidents.

But at least Poland gets some attention from the world now. They kind of need it.

Poland is actually one of the wealthier eastern bloc nations. I think the events in Kyrgyzstan need the publicity, plus are more uplifting

That’s not exactly the nicest way of getting it.

Kyrgyzstan? The riots? Eh, I fear that I don’t quite understand the uplifting part lol. But I will pretend to. :)

Gosh. The name is so hard to spell. All of the -stans.

^ pro-democracy revolution=good. I hope Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan follow

I thought it was because of the bad weather. No technology is perfect. But yes, this is a sad irony. :(

Oh. Because that would be really bloody eventually…not that it isn’t already. It’s almost stunning how little it’s been noticed. :(

Eh, and is it really all that pro-democracy? All I really can see right now that it’s anti-status-quo. Not much we can really gather about what’s about to form.

There’s probably some crazy guy in a basement writing communist notes. Now they feel it’s the time to call upon the lower class.

^ true. I’d go for whatever they take over the status quo. Turkmenistan, for example, banned western music. I don’t know about Kyrgyzstan in particular, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it were similar

lol no western music? Was it for insulting language, bad messages, or the prosperity of their native music industry? ;)

This kind of revolution sort of just begs to happen though…right? Countries with super-rich people at the top ignoring a lot of increasingly poor people at the bottom don’t tend to remain stable. Plus couldn’t the new leaders become just as corrupt lol? :/
